20 Feb 2014-Boys turn 15!!
In an effort to keep them entertained, we went on yet another adventure, this time south of Rotorua to the Waikato River for some jet boating. The driver, who turned out to be know and have worked for my dear high school friend Greg in Colorado, drive us down river to the Squeeze. tis turned out to be a narrowing of a small canyon which we got to walk through and up to a warm water waterfall and hot pool! Aaaahhh! We brought friend Jaz along for the fun! On our way back upstream the jet boat was fired up and we managed many a 360 turn for the higher adrenaline needs of the group.
Lunched in Rotorua and then home for a splendid day!!
Few days later a very special treat indeed as Diana arrived from US. She was here on a work do and was able to steal away and spend 2 full days with us here in Tauranga. Such a great thing to have her here to experience life amongst us for the moment. Wished her stay could have been longer but so grateful for what we got. And so grateful to Microsoft for bringing her over in the first place!!
And finally an update on sweet Kiwi the kitten. What the hell was I thinking? This cat is going to cost me my entire retirement. Already been to the vet 3 times in 3 weeks with us with some errant coughing thing that no one can figure out. Maybe lung worm was the latest, and yet he is as sprite and energetic as one would expect from a small feline. And how naive of me to think I could just stash him in a bag under my seat for the 13 hour plane ride home. Oh vey!!
He loves to adventure and as curious as can be. Gaining weight like a champ. Seems to enjoy chasing and eating a cockroach or two, and snuggles down with Maggie each night in bed! So cute!!
Here we are ready to go!
